Far from the strife of Dominaria lies Lorwyn, an idyllic world where races of fable thrive in perpetual midsummer. Lorwyn is covered with dense forests, meandering rivers, and gently rolling meadows. The sun never quite dips below the horizon, and winter is entirely unknown.

In Lorwyn, creature type matters more than ever before. Mischievous Boggarts, ruthless Elves, and valiant Kithkin…which tribe will you choose? Starting October 12th, you will decide!

Lorwyn also introduces a new card type for the most powerful beings in Magic: Planeswalkers. Check the Planeswalkers Minisite for exclusive previews, artwork, puzzles, and eventually rules on how this new card type will change the way you play Magic.

Lorwyn features 301 cards, with randomly-inserted premium cards. All cards are tournament legal.

The set includes 121 commons, 80 uncommons, and 80 rares. It will be available in booster packs, theme decks, tournament packs, and Fat Packs. Starting with Time Spiral, there has been a change in how premium cards are distributed. Previously, premium cards replaced a card of the same rarity, so a premium rare would replace a standard rare, a premium uncommon would replace a standard uncommon, and a premium common would replace a standard common.

 In Time Spiral and in future sets, all rare, uncommon, and common premium cards will replace a standard common instead. It is now possible for there to be two rares in one pack: the standard rare card plus a premium rare (which replaces a standard common).

75 randomly inserted game cards and a Lorwyn rules insert provide the foundation for exciting Sealed Deck play. Includes a random Pro Tour Player card. Rulebook not included.
